My name is Ligardy Termonfils. A Haitian artist, designer and founder of “Ligardy Hats”.
I’ve been a rising star in the Hat game for about 6 years, and I’ve been caring, collecting and customizing hats for as long as I can remember. I started my journey at Fashion Institute of Technology eventually heading over to Parsons, the New School of Design, and ultimately finishing my studies at Academy of Art university in San Francisco. Along the way, I became an avid sports cap collector, building a collection of roughly 75 unique caps. Upon returning to New York around 2017, I was introduced to New York’s oldest Hat Shop and formally inducted into their ranks. Through the tutelage of the legendary Rod Springer and Jose Henriquez, I was taught all of the ins and outs of the fedora style. As the years went by, I started to gain mastery over my craft, as well as building an identity with my iconic “Telescope Teardrop Crown & Flat Brim” combo. This style has become a staple here at JJs, as well as an inspiration to all people who desire to reignite their love for hats. I hope to redefine what it means to wear a fedora as a young man in this day and age. Through the years I have honed my skills in hat care and hat customization, with flat brims being my speciality. My ultimate goal is to pass my wealth of hat knowledge to hat lovers all over the world. With Ligardy Hats, the aim is to provide everyone with the purest essence of customization and interchangeability.
